The Lee's were very devoted to all their Rockgold retrievers, but Ric was their pride and joy. I lived with the Lee's for six months and took care of the dogs, when Connie had Open Heart Surgery. That was 26 years ago when heart surgery was not the common occurrence it is today. Connie had postponed the surgery several times until I agreed to care for the dogs, so she could have the much overdue operation. Connie survived the surgery and lived quite a few more years before she passed away.
The Lees also owned Ric's daughter CH Rockgold Ric's
Cookie.
