This was the 2nd World Series, I believe. It was held in the Detroit
Windsor, Ontario area in ??. Jeannie Fox won the Open Division with her
Golden & I won the Novice Division with Big Bad Red. Red was anything
but bad. I originally purchased her in hopes of having my first field trial
dog, however Red could not make the grade in the field, so we switched to
obedience where she was a superstar. She also earned her bench champion
owner handled. Red received an OFA number at about 13 months of age (before
OFA was upgraded to the two year age restriction) and was bred to Ch Rockgold
Chug's Ric O Shay.
For some unknown reason, I decided to re x-ray her sometime after her second
birthday. She was quite dysplastic on this second x-ray, so she was neutered
and I eventually placed her in a home where she was greatly cherished until
about 14 years of age.
