HINTS ON CARE OF YOUR PET

Take your pup to KPT (Kindergarten Puppy Training) classes-there are many local dog training clubs in the Fox Valley area or wherever you are from. Sign up as soon as you know you are getting a puppy. Check with your Vet, Shelter, or local Boarding Kennels to find out about classes.

Cut your dogs nails every 2 weeks-if you start by using a human nail clipper when he/she is a baby and clip the nails weekly, your pup will become accustomed to it and will not resent getting it's nails cut as an adult.Check your dogs ears on a regular basis-use a mixture of 2/3 alcohol and 1/3 vinegar and put an eye dropper of this mixture in your pets ears once a week. It will help prevent ear infections.

Check your pets teeth regularly-many vets are now recommending regular brushing of your dogs teeth. If your dog has tartar build up on its teeth, it is wise to have your vet scale it off. Decaying teeth and consequent gum irritation, can lead to serious infections.

Feed your dog a quality food-we feed Iams and Eukanuba products to all our dogs. We do not supplement this other than 500MG of Vitamin C and warm water on their food.
