CH Malagold Golden Nugget CDX

I purchased Nugget from Connie Gerstner when he was a year old. I had just accepted a job as Director of Testing at Wisconsin State University in Whitewater and moved from Southern Illinois University to Wisconsin with my Cocker Spaniel. I enrolled at the Lakeland Dog Training Club, but the Cocker was a dropout, so I decided to get myself one of those dogs that "do good in obedience"!!!
I had competed in obedience as a teenager and was anxious to reintroduce myself to the sport that I had enjoyed during my high school days with my first Cocker who earned his UDT-he was a lot smarter than the dropout mentioned above.

I enjoyed Nugget, thoroughly studied the breed, and decided I wanted to seriously breed and train Goldens. That is when I purchased Ch Goldenloes Bronze Lustre from Mrs Enloe of Colorado.

About two years after purchasing Bronze, I made the tough decision to find an appropriate home for Nugget in order to make room for the type of Goldens I wanted.
