OUR MISSION
TOPBRASS is dedicated to breeding
the best Retrievers that money can buy.
Our price reflects the quality of the breeding, the commitment we have to
the breed in terms of time and financial investment, our continual updates
of health clearances and improvement of our breeding stock, and the caring
and concern of our Topbrass network of helpers. We feel that that we have learned through our mistakes and capitalized
on that knowledge by breeding Goldens for almost 40 years. We offer a Puppy
Support Program to all our buyers. This program is available throughout
your Goldens life.
For information on our pups, please email us about your wants and needs. Tell us if your pup will be strictly a pet or hunted or used for competition. If you are looking for a competitive performance golden - that is our specialty. We produce goldens that want to work. They are intelligent, willing, retrievers that will do a days hunt and then be happy household pets.
We have numerous ADULT goldens that we put into loving homes with people that have them as family members and pets. Most of these families include children and other household pets. We control the breeding rights to these golden girls and market the pups.

Topbrass pups are raised with the idea of them being Useful Performance or Working Adult goldens. We raise each litter as though each pup will be the next field Champion, Great Hunting Companion, OTCH, Search and Rescue Hero, Leader Dog, or MACH. And guess what, they may very well be.
At 3 days of age we start the stimulation exercises you can see Clara doing in the video. We continue Daily Handling exercises individually with each pup. With larger litters we also supplement with daily bottle feeding.
It is very important to trim toenails weekly. This makes it easier on mom and helps the pups get used to their feet being touched. We try to raise pups that are wired to learn almost from birth.
