We purchased JESSICA from our friend, Lynne Thomson, as we were impressed with her talent, good looks and great personality. We anticipate that this litter will carry on many of her positive traits. JESSICA has all the usual health clearances required in our Topbrass Breeding Program. She is 56-pounds and dark gold color with a short dense coat. She has a classic golden personality and a wonderful working attitude. She is a fully trained field trial bitch who ran only three Derbies and placed in two of them. JESSICA and RUGBY have been bred in hopes of producing that elusive "Competitive Field Trial Golden". The breeding excels in working ability and should produce talented working retrievers capable of holding up to the pressure of daily training and trialing. The breeding should produce exciting puppies for Field Trials,Hunt Test, Obedience, Agility, Search & Rescue or Family companions and Hunters. Both JESSICA and RUGBY are healthy, sound working retrievers with pleasant temperaments, good looks and classic Golden personalities as well as strong genetic and health back rounds. Similar breedings have produced highly trainable dogs with the style and desire sought after, but often lacking, in today's goldens. RUGBY is a sound, good looking golden male with an Outstanding Production Record. He has a pleasing head and expression, excellent conformation and a stable temperament. He finished his AMATEUR FIELD CHAMPIONSHIP with ease and he comes from a long line of Outstanding Field Goldens. He has 2 titled brothers - FC AFC Emberain Beau Geste and AFC Emberain Good Will Hunting, who are also wonderful field trial competitors. There are 6 other siblings that are MH and/or Qualified All Age goldens, and also an Obedience Champion. Quite an outstanding family tree. The JESSICA and RUGBY pups will be the perfect combination for intelligent, attractive goldens. This pedigree exhibits the multitude of titles that is so well known in the Topbrass line of golden retrievers. One look at the pedigree confirms a strong background of intelligent, stylish, talented working retrieverstracing back many generations. They should be a range of color from light to dark with flat or slightly wavy coats. Pups should have nice broad heads with dark eyes and black pigment. Whether they become competitors or family baby-sitters and couch potatoes, we are confident these pups will be terrific representatives of the Golden Retrieversmart, friendly, healthy, and good looking. JESSICA and RUGBY'S pedigrees goes back to some of the Topbrass original "Field Trial Greats" that have produced outstanding retrievers for three decades. Some of the great old goldens in the pedigree include FC AFC Windbreakers Mighty Mo - two time national finalist and deceased at almost 15 years of age and AFC Mioak's Rain Check OS FDHF - a healthy long lived producer of many all age goldens. Both JESSICA'S and RUGBY'S pedigree also includes our all time great "COTTON". |
The JESSICA puppies will be home raised
in Wheaton, Illinnois. I am responsible for marketing and placement of these
pups and they are being sold under the Topbrass Prefix. JESSICA lives with
Betsy and Scott Love and their family. She is a marvelous hunting dog for
Scott and a cherished family member.OUR puppies are carefully raised in the home environment and socialized accordingly. They are individually stimulated daily for maximum potential. Due to these procedures, the puppies readily accept new and varied distractions and stimuli in the environment around them. Our puppies enjoy individual "play exercises", and are introduced to retrieving by this method. We encourage the new owners of all our Topbrass puppies to continue "motivational training" through PUPPY CLASSES to ensure an easy transition from our environment to their new homes. Pups brought up in this manner mature into well adjusted adults. Before leaving Topbrass, our puppies are wormed, have their dew claws removed, are given their first shots, and are examined by our veterinarian for overall health and soundness. We test and evaluate our puppies using procedures outlined by various behavioral psychologists, in addition to individual methods that we have developed over the past 35 years to determine the temperament and potential of each pup. In addition to the above, we have a Puppy Support Program available to Topbrass Retriever owners. |
PRICE & DEPOSIT The price of the JESSICA and RUGBY puppies is $1400 with a Limited Registration and $1600 for breeding potential and AKC Full Registration.Limited Registration means that the puppy is registered but no litters produced by that dog are eligible for registration. This AKC procedure helps protect established breeding programs. These dogs can be shown in obedience trials, field trials, hunt tests, and agility. These prices reflect the quality of the breeding, the commitment we have to the breed in terms of time and financial investment, our continual updates of health clearances and improvement of our breeding stock, and the caring and concern of our Topbrass network of helpers. We require a deposit of $200 to reserve puppies in advance of whelping; litters generally sell quickly. We ask that our puppies be registered with the "TOPBRASS PREFIX".
