Mr Burton sent me this picture of Beau Brummel along with a copy of his pedigree and a letter. The letter is dated Feb 8.1978. (obviously, I never throw anything away)
What I think is fascinating is the quality of this field dog that competed back in the late 30's and early 40's. He could be mistaken for one of our present day Goldens. Note the nice head, good bone and neck length and strong appearing front assembly with no white.
